James L. Sublett MD, Founder, President and CEO of
AllergyZone LLC, is a nationally recognized specialist in allergies and asthma.
A practicing, board certified allergist, Dr. Sublett has a long standing
interest in indoor air quality, particularly related to the impact of air
filtration. In his 25 year career he has given hundreds of talks, both to the
medical and scientific communities, but also to the lay public and building
science communities on the subject. Dr. Sublett has been a speaker at the
annual international meetings of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and
Immunology and Affordable Comfort, a meeting attended by the directors of the
EPA and Canadian Healthy Homes programs and world class experts on building
science. He has co-lectured numerous times with other experts in the IAQ field,
including John Ouellette MD, a mold expert from the University of Wisconsin,
and Jeff May, the author of “My House is Killing Me” published by
Johns Hopkins Press.
He is recognized by both the medical and building science community as one of a
handful of experts who has knowledge in both areas. Because of his experience
and knowledge, Dr. Sublett is able to sort through and clarify the often
confusing issues related to “Health and Housing”. Dr. Sublett has
been elected as a Fellow in both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and
Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology
(ACAAI). He currently serves as Chief of the Allergy Section at the
Kosair-Children’s Hospital, University of Louisville School of Medicine,
is a founding partner of Family Allergy & Asthma and is past president of
the Kentucky Allergy Society. He is a member of the Indoor Allergen Committees
for both the AAAAI and the ACAAI and of the American Society of Heating,
Refrigeration, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
